Oh Good morning Your Highness! it’s such a nice day.
No, oi did nothing wrong - will you please go away!
Oh, I’m glad to hear that, but that’s not what I….
No, oi didn’t sign anything - why would oi lie?
Oi was just a young lawyer, quite pure and naïve;
Oi knew nothing of unions, or crooks- so please leave!
And oi don't know of money that disappeared then,
And you won’t find moi fingerprints on any pen!
Oh..I see... well that wasn’t what I came to ask…
Now oil give you advice - best not take me to task!
Oi have no recollection of renovations,
And oi never, with union thugs, had relations
Of the coined you’re referring to - none of the pie,
Finished up on moi plate, as oi said, oi don’t lie.
And before you comment that oi protest too much,
You will find that my ABC friends will not touch
This story, although they all know there’s a pong,
For my comrades agree, that oi did nothing wrong.
