Hi Dave/Terry - yep was at the hospital waiting for the grandie.
Lila Summer Conner - born 29th January at 1.32pm weighing 6lb 13ozs.
And she is absolutely beautiful!!! (I'm not biased, or anything!!

)
Terry, I had the worst night that night - spent three hrs awake coughing, then slept for an hr and awake again!!
In hindsight, should have stayed home instead of going down to Perth, but was too late then!!! And to make it worse, left late the next arvo to go home, and clobbered a big boomer on the way home on the new Indian Ocean Drive. No damage to my ute body, but it hit smack bang in front of my face on the windscreen - nearly wore him in on my chest, except, after the windscreen shattered, the laminated coating held well enough to let it bounce back off. It didn't die, but was injured, so would have made a nice mess of me if it had come in!! I guess it just wasn't my time to go!!
Just read this morning that sadly, a 17yr old girl was electrocuted in Geraldton the night of the storm - a power line came down but was still live, and she stepped on it in the dark. Her two friends were injured trying to save her - very tragic.
