Hey Dave
Did you get that storm that went through yesterday?? Sounds like Terry got some of it. I was in Geraldton, and it hit really suddenly, but I missed it!!! Was in a lounge room at the hospital, and only caught the tail end of it! Didn't last long, but did some damage to trees, fences, etc. It hit at home a couple of hours later, and, while the clouds at Geraldton were huge brown clouds, with lots of wind but little rain, by the time it got to jurien, they were like huge white rolling waves - high speed winds and lots of rain!! A friend of mine has an awesome photo taken of her house, and it looks like a rolling tidal wave over the top of the roof!!
We had a storm the night before also, that ripped up a lot of trees out our horse club - no doubt more damage around the town, but haven't had a chance to find out as yet.

G’Day Irene

Were you at the hospital having a grand child? Congratulations. Is this you new avatar? Happy for ya.:P
We didn’t get much of a storm in Collie just two big thunderclouds and only 16mm of rain,
Your storms hit Perth heading south and then followed the rail line down to Albany so all around us
But just a bit wossie.

G/day Irene,
Congratulations Grandma, or have we jumped the gun? - I knew it was getting close - Hows that cold, you weren't sounding to flash on Wednesday.

Bill I was talking marriage, it's was all Nevile's fault, making comments about an obscure couple called William & Kate.

Hi Dave/Terry - yep was at the hospital waiting for the grandie.
Lila Summer Conner - born 29th January at 1.32pm weighing 6lb 13ozs.
And she is absolutely beautiful!!! (I'm not biased, or anything!! ;) )

Terry, I had the worst night that night - spent three hrs awake coughing, then slept for an hr and awake again!!
In hindsight, should have stayed home instead of going down to Perth, but was too late then!!! And to make it worse, left late the next arvo to go home, and clobbered a big boomer on the way home on the new Indian Ocean Drive. No damage to my ute body, but it hit smack bang in front of my face on the windscreen - nearly wore him in on my chest, except, after the windscreen shattered, the laminated coating held well enough to let it bounce back off. It didn't die, but was injured, so would have made a nice mess of me if it had come in!! I guess it just wasn't my time to go!! :o

Just read this morning that sadly, a 17yr old girl was electrocuted in Geraldton the night of the storm - a power line came down but was still live, and she stepped on it in the dark. Her two friends were injured trying to save her - very tragic.

Hi Irene,
Now it's official, once again congratulations.
I'm not surprised you had a rough night after Wireless Hill, you really did sound crook.
As I said then, you should have stayed home in bed, but you still somehow managed to get up and do your turn.
That roo may not have been killed, but I bet it ended up pretty sore and sorry.
I will email you for a bit of info re Boyup I'm thinking about going over perhaps Saturday, but not sure what the setup is.

Cheers Terry
