You lot make me laugh. The thing that I find ironic about your poem Neville, is that it's about following the crowd, but it's on a forum where the "crowd" doesn't follow that style of poem, so your NOT following the crowd! Irony at it's perfectest.

PS .. I still like the poem, don't care if it isn't 'bush poetry' in the strictest sense of the word. ... Never have liked crowds much myself.

Blank Verse

Blank verse is a type of poetry, distinguished by having a regular meter, but no rhyme. In English, the meter most commonly used with blank verse has been iambic pentameter (as used in Shakespearean plays).

Lotsa folks have some difficulty in getting their rythme (metre) right - and others, the rhyme ...

Thanks Manfred. When I was at school we struggled through Shakespearean plays which I found weird !
I am sure that no one ever told us, (certainly never made a point of making it clear) that Shakespeare's plays were written in metred verse.
I had no idea ! until many years later.
It made a world of difference to my appreciation when I discovered that these oddly worded writings were in fact, epic poems.
I changed my point of view and saw what I couldn't see before.
