Re: The Kangaroo Jack
That is a classic dear Henry and would go down a treat with OS visitors who would believe every word of BS you spin and certainly what else would one use a Kangaroo Jack for - we always carried one but most of the roos out our way were obliging and actually moved off the road for us apart from one big grey buck over 8 foot from tip of tail to ear who decided he would catch a ride and bounded straight into the cabin door of the truck - obviously aiming for the window but lousy aim. The kangaroo jack would also come in handy for shifting big blokes like this
The damage to the truck door was over $1000 - the roo meat for the dogs valued at not quite as much
Enjoyed the read Mate - very funny and very much Australian humour
Cheers
Maureen

Re: The Kangaroo Jack
Had a few run ins with these big buggers in my time Henry ?? I always reckoned the ones you see are not the ones you hit.
Having a big red in the front seat with you after hitting him at 100 kph is not something you want to happen too often.
Caught a big fella on the tail out near Biloela once and he spun right down the side of the car and got every panel.
I reckon 100 or 140 all the same if you hit them and yes they do not want to move.

The purpose in life is to have fun.
After you grasp that everything else seems insignificant !!!

Henry I enjoyed your poem. I've been away and am trying to catch up on all the poetry that was posted while I was away. I look forward to reading more of your yarns.
