Wow Wow Wow

Henry what a bottler.

Takes a bit these days to get me to sit and read poems right through but this had me entralled.

Great images and a great and i assume true story ? to boot.

Thanks Bob, I enjoyed writing it, good memories.

That was me at six years and exactly as it was. The fishing was amazing, they were forming a queue to jump on your hook in those days. Whiting, herring, tailer, skipjack, pike etc, etc.

Different now, - if you went down to the channel and saw a fish it would be because it was lost.

I had lots of freedom ...... perfect for a boy. (Gave mum a few grey hairs though)

Mate keep it up, poetry is sometimes best written from the heart and you can see that in your writings.

I don't think the kids these days would be game to just take off on thier bikes for a days fishing or catching crawchies in the creeks or perhaps their parents would not be game to let them go.

I know where you are coming from,

Cheers Bob

G'daaay Henry. I really enjoyed your poems. Here's hoping you start 'keeping' a few because they are certainly 'keepers'. Welcome old mate.

Fantastic Henry! You really took me there. Most kids these days really miss out don't they?

Keep them coming Henry!

Heather :)
