I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.

Thanks all of you, - thought it might not mean much to non sailers, but yachties would identify with it.

She was based on an English workboat, - made for heavy seas. They were pointed both ends, - hence double ender. The idea being that they were less likely to be swamped by following seas . Best rough weather yacht I have ever sailed.

Also the most expensive thing to maintain I have ever owned, cost me a fortune and every bit of my spare time for three years. I loved it, but eventually sold it to a boatbuilder who wanted to completely restore it. That was eight years ago and he's still only part way through it!

Excuse me, I gotta go and wash the salt out of my hair! No need to be a yachty Henry - you took us there.

Heather :)

Well done mate, Got the basis of a book if you do not already have one.

The purpose in life is to have fun.
After you grasp that everything else seems insignificant !!!

Don't know about a book, - but I have been lucky enough to have done a few things. I decided early on that I wasn't going to die wondering. :D

Thanks for the thought Heather, but anything I write is in the public domain. Anyone is welcome to use it. - I guess I'd simply see it as a compliment. If somebody claimed it as theirs they'd just be made to look silly. :D
