Homework Week Ending 22/7/13 The Unwanted Visitor

Post by mummsie » Thu Jul 18, 2013 4:48 pm

Had to cheat a bit Maureen "round' in stead of "around "

The Unwelcome Visitor

Hi-welcome to my humble home, it's great to have you dear
I'll go and put the kettle on and then collect your gear
and then I'll do the dirty work but don't you worry none
the daily schedule must be kept-but you relax, have fun.

Please make yourself at home my friend, the sofas calling you
just fall into its clutches while I make another brew
you don't have to lift a finger-relax, enjoy, unwind
I'll carry on and do the chores, you know-the normal grind.

What's that? you have a housemaid, well now, pray my friend-do say
how is it that your tired and worn when you do nought all day?
you sit there while she scurries 'round and serves you tea and cake
this house work capers not for you-your nails might chip and break!!

Well friend, I have some news for you, this housemaids had enough
no longer will I pamper you with tea and cake and stuff
Your holiday is on delay-start packing, leave and then
find someone else to pamper you and don't come back again
the door is always open, the kettles always on, my shoulders here to cry on, i'll not judge who's right or wrong.

   Very good - well done on using the prompts and a bit of a cheat doesn't matter at all. Gee it doesn't take you long to have a dummy spit does it? I promise if I ever get down your way for a visit I will make my own coffee :D

   I'm pretty easy going Maureen, just a bit of fun but hey, I cannot stand plastic people. You know, the type that are too busy filing nails and primping themselves.

Thanks

Nice Sue hey why don't you just change scurries to runs and then use around ?

The prompt is "scurries around" Bob-I do try to stick to the prompts.
Hey how's it all going with you?, looks like your busy.

Paints a lovely picture Sue, and in so few words. Well done!
