The Menu

“I’m thinkin’ somethin’ Asian.”
I stood beside the fridge.
“I’ve got this cookin’ thing down pat.
I’m ready! Ridgy-didge!

I can do ya Sukiaki
or Chinese slow baked fish.
Do you fancy spicy chicken wings,
or a sweet and sour dish?

My curry puffs are legend.
My stir fried duck superb.
My fish with lime and garlic -
Mate … I just can’t find the words.

My pantry shelves are choc-a-bloc
with sauce and spice galore.
I’ve got’em packed so tight
can’t even shut the bloody door.

Too many choices Nev and bob?
Get that stressed look off ya’ mugs.
‘Cause regardless what ya pick,
I’m cookin’ Moreton Bay Bugs.

Wazzas on this cooking craze he reckons it's a treat
Chickens , Currys, Pizzas he's even cooking meat.
Sukiaki , sweet and sour or slow baked fish to boot
Curry puff or stir fried duck it really sounds a hoot.

He thinks it will perturb us if he cooks this fancy stuff
he reckons we won't like it and then cry enoughs, enough.
But Wazza I can tell you we are not far enough away
there is nothing we like better then bugs from Moreton bay.

No Heather ... it's the bloody customers, always the customers. :)

Thanks Glenny - and speaking for Bob, does there have to be a reason?

Thanks Matt and you’re quite right.

Who is Sylvia Colloca Neville?

Bob and Neville if I told you I was cooking grilled Thenus orientalis, what sauce would you have me serve with it.?

I have no idea what sauce goes with Moreton Bay bugs, for Queenslanders probably tomato sauce

Silvia Colloca is a beautiful Italian actress who does Italian cooking demos on the SBS TV. It's hard to watch the recipe instead of the cook
