A HELPING HAND
There’s land out here a plenty
To take on plenty more
So why are we so hesitant
To throw open our doors
Have we forgotten how to
Help out a mate in need
Have we become inflicted
With misplaced fear and greed
Our neighbours are our cousins
Our shorelines our front lawn
So boil the billy for a brew
Let them see a brand new dawn
The news dispenses venom
To hike the ratings up
But we can come together
With a fresh brew in our cup
We are brothers, we are sisters
Let’s start acting like a friend
It's time we rolled our sleeves up
And lent a helping hand
