I know there is a lot of imperfect rhyming in this one
A SPECIAL WISH
Life's road can be an uphill climb
With hidden treasures there to find
Take my advice and take your time
On the way you’ll count the cost
Of friendships won and friendships lost
Treasure those in whom you trust
Don’t try to make it on your own
No one ever is that strong
We all need to have someone
Someone who will help you swim
When the tide comes rushing in
In times of need you’ll need a friend
When you’ve grown you’ll reminisce
Of first love and love’s first kiss
Dreams that brought you happiness
As you think of way back when
Surrounded by your grandchildren
Share these words and thoughts with them
I trust these words ring long and true
In times of need might see you through
A special wish from me to you

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.

As far as I can find out, there is no such thing as imperfect rhyme.Cropduster wrote:I know there is a lot of imperfect rhyming in this one

Poetry has more important considerations to work out than the mechanics of rhyme.
There's nothing" wrong " in that one.
