the slick from the bloody big smoke.
Thought you'd come around here,

win over the local townsfolk.

Oh, the women, they swooned,
but they found out real soon
that you were a bit of a dandy.
You should have been warned
that our women, when scorned,
will beat you with whatever's handy.

Now, you're sick, sore and sorry,
but Fred, don't you worry
we packed you a bag full of stuff.
We took up a collection,
there's enough here, we reckon,
for a ticket on the next Greyhound bus.

Go back to the city.
It sure is a pity
that you must be leaving so soon.
We'd sure love you to stay,
but best be on your way,
'cause we can't seem to find you a room.

And when you get there,
my good man, don't you dare,
talk dirty of our little town.
We'll set free, just be warned
all those women you scorned,
and I promise you, they'll hunt you down.
